Mike Joyce opened the doors to Lima Harley-Davidson in May of 1984. With a few employees, the business was off to a good start. Operating out of a building of approximately 3,000 square feet, Mike began selling the American Dream. By 1987, the business built a new building which was 5,250 square feet and by this time he had added a few additional employees. Business was booming and Harley-Davidson was becoming more than just a motorcycle, it was a lifestyle. The demand for the lifestyle was increasing very quickly and the Motor Company was continuing to introduce more and more new products. In 1995 there was continuous growth and Mike expanded the building to 10,000 square feet.
By 1998 Mike knew that there was more interest in the Harley-Davidson lifestyle than the 10,000 square foot building could hold. Plans were quickly underway for a new dealership. After two years of planning and investigating, construction of the new facility began. In August of 2001, the doors to Lima Harley-Davidson opened to a magnificent new building located right off I-75, which was recognized as the Best New Retail Environment of 2002.
Today, Mike Joyce and his great staff of employees continue to sell the American Dream and all of the products that go along with it. Lima H-D not only sells and services Harley® products, we have now expanded our enthusiasm into Harley Flattrack racing. Check out our racing info for more details.
